Guides
Prime Diet: Designed to be available to colonies routinely as a staple diet.
> Keep Prime diet available consistently.
> Replace before it becomes contaminated, wet, or stale.
> Provide species-appropriate hydration separately.
Gut Load Diet: Designed for feeder preparation prior to feeding.
> Remove access to Prime for prey items slated to be offered to the predator.
> Use for 24 to 72 hours before feeding.
> Feed prepared insects to predators within the gut-load window.
> Provide species-appropriate hydration separately.
Tenebrio Gold Complete:
> Use as the primary bedding/feed substrate.
> Add mealworms directly into the prepared substrate.
> Provide appropriate moisture foods separately as needed.
> Replace substrate when depleted, contaminated, or overly broken down.
Mouse Gold Complete:
> Use as the primary dry diet for feeder mice.
> Provide in deep serving bowl to prevent digging.
> Provide clean water at all times.
> Maintain normal rodent husbandry, sanitation, ventilation, and density control.
Storage and Freshness: Arca Vitae foods are dry and are packaged with an oxygen absorber.
> Store sealed, dry, and clean.
> Keep stored food cool.
> Reseal after each use.
Powdered Diets: Arca Vitae diets are milled to an appropriate particulate size, which is key to our system. Finely milled and thoroughly mixed ingredients reduce selective feeding and support uniform intake.
